After Stumbling Upon Eco Spheres recently, I thought ‘they’re mint I want one of those!’ Upon realising that they are £99, I thought ‘they’re mint, but not that mint, I bet I can make one on the cheap though mind!’ And so this bank holiday weekend that is what I am going to do having found this, and a few other vids on Biospheres.
They’re basically self contained aquatic environments that if set up right balance themselves in the sealed jar and run like a mini biosphere without the need for feeding or cleaning. So seen as I have an aquarium and terrarium I have most of the building blocks, gravel, snails, etc… Just need a jar and I’m off to find some pond scum. I’ll post some pictures as I get the thing going. Like a sensible aquarist I’ll get the system up and running before I add some energy hungry shrimps.
